SAMANTHA GLENNIE

MEMBER SERVICES MANAGER

The BCHA's irrefutable master of membership and resident Disney aficionado, Samantha is always one to go the extra mile
to ensure ​our members are supported in every way.

Member Services Manager | Dog Mom Extrordinaire 

Proudly born and raised in Metro Vancouver, Samantha graduated from Capilano University with her bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management as well as completed a Hospitality and Tourism Management Certificate at University of California, Riverside.

Samantha brings to the BC Hotel Association almost 10 years of experience with a diverse set of skills and knowledge in the tourism and hospitality industry; domestic and international. Her experience stems from a variety of small- and large-scale establishments such as OPUS Vancouver, Starwood Hotels, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, and Walt Disney World Resorts.

She has a huge passion for traveling, and even though she has had the opportunity to work abroad and has seen many beautiful places around the world, she always finds her way back home.

  • What kind of pet do you have, and how did you choose its name?
    • My fur baby’s name is Roxy, she is a pitbull/boxer rescue dog from California.
  • What’s your favorite sports team?
    • I am a born and raised Vancouver Canucks hockey fan
  • If you could live in any city, where would it be and why?
    • I would love to live in the city of Hong Kong. I would love to immerse myself in a new culture and lifestyle as well as eat all the amazing food!
  • How many different countries have you travelled to?  
    • I have travelled to 20 different countries
  • What is your favourite destination in British Columbia?
    • Osoyoos, BC
  • Where was your first job?
    • My first job ever was a cashier at an independent butcher shop. My first job in the tourism & hospitality industry was at the Capilano Suspension Bridge.
  • What has been your most rewarding moment working at the BC Hotel Association?
    • The opportunity to explore and connect with the different communities throughout the province; learning and understanding the region specific strengths and concerns each one has.
